True Crime Diary (HD Video / Still images, 04:00 min, 2024)

My neighbors were out for a walk that day, when they met a girl on a bike. She asked for the directions, they were helpful and showed her there. She was later murdered in a deserted area, the week before summer vacation was due to begin.

 

In the video  I go back to the place where I grew up and reconstruct the path the girl might have been taken that day over 20 years ago. The essay reflects about "True Crime" as a metaphor in terms of security and threats, control and the unknown. The video also ask questions about places and when safe spaces becomes the crime scene.
