I started filming children playing outside the window. When I watch the film, I sense something unsettling in it. The camera is positioned above, observing the children from a distance, where they almost dissolve into a painterly and abstract image. Between the freedom of play and the camera’s gaze, an ambiguity emerges between safety and surveillance, freedom and control.
