The video follows the artist’s journey (to Bulgaria) between the physical and digital worlds. By moving between the material and the digital, the works investigate our relationship to time, presence, and absence. Inspired by Bernard Stiegler’s ideas on technology and memory, the video highlights the contradictions in digital archiving – what is actually preserved or lost. It also reflect on the balance between our attempts to define ourselves and how easily identity fades over time. Our efforts to hold on to something lasting appear both meaningful and insignificant in the flow of time.
