In the video works, two different children are temporarily placed at the center of a McDonald’s birthday party in Sweden in the 90s. Both sitting on a small throne in a private room in the public space, visible among the other guests.

The two children react in different ways, while taking part in the same ritual. They also switch between being observers and the main focus.

The works explore how identity and social approval are shaped in consumer-driven settings, where the brief moment of attention offers both a promise and a reminder of its transience.
