ABOUT

In my artistic practice, I primarily work with video, photography, and sometimes text to explore the relationship between the individual and the spaces they inhabit. I focus on themes of transience, memory, and the passage of time, as well as how our sense of control, safety and dependence shapes our identity. I use symbols to examine the human being within a larger societal structure and how it unconsciously influences our emotions and actions. By gathering images and stories, I highlight what is often overlooked in daily life. In many of my works, I move between the personal and the universal, between past and present, in a hybrid of staged and documentary.
